Case Study: Virtual Dental Healthcare VOI

In the fall of 2016 TCA provided consultation for developing an innovative way to establish the Value on Investment for a ground-breaking new Virtual Dental Healthcare (VDH) program pilot by Capitol Dental in Polk County, Oregon. This VDH program is a community-based oral health delivery system in which children receive diagnostic, preventative and early intervention services within the campus setting of the school based health center located at Central High School, Independence, Oregon. The program uses telehealth technology to link allied dental professionals in the community with dentists in dental offices, facilitating access to the full dental team and comprehensive dental care. This project was funded through the OHA Transformation Center CCO Technical Assistance Bank.
